Description: Streptavidin is a homotetrameric protein found in the culture broth of Streptomyces avidinii. Similar to avidin, one mole of streptavidin can bind 4 moles of biotin with a high affinity virtually unmatched in nature. Streptavidin lacks carbohydrate side chains present on avidin and has an isoelectric point close to neutrality. Therefore it has a reducing nonspecific binding level as compared to avidin. Streptavidin has been extensively applied in various biological fields, such as ELISA, IHC, TRFIA, quantifying PCR, isolation of single-stranded nucleotide, purification of biomolecule, and monoclonal antibody production as well. (The r-SA C-terminal contains His-Tag tag)
Note:
1) After dissolving, place it on an ice bath and use it as soon as possible;
2) If you can't use it all at once, please prepare a mother liquor before use and divide it into small sizes (guarantee the amount of one test) and store it at -65 ℃, avoid repeated freezing and thawing affecting protein activity
3) Avoid using strong acids, strong bases, strong oxidants, high-concentration organic solvents and other reagents that can easily cause protein denaturation;
4) This product is limited to scientific research.
