Introduction:
The permeation cups we provided are designed in compliance with GB/T 17146, JG/T
309, JG/T 485, ISO 7783, ASTM D 1653 and other standards. It is used for determining the permeability
performance of paints, varnishes, coatings, films, coating systems and related products. The rate of water
vapor passing through the paint film is determined by the decrease or increase in the weight of the contents
of the cup within a specific period of time. The same method can be used to determine the permeability of
paint films to various other substrates in the gaseous state.
Characteristics:
The Permeability Cups are not only suitable for self-supporting coating, but also non-self-supporting
coatings. Generally, moisture permeability will be concerned in high-humidity environments,then the wet
cup method is the primary method for determining the moisture vapor permeability of coatings. If there are
no objections to other aspects, the dry cup method can also be used in different procedures or circumstances.
·Self-supporting coating: A single layer of coating, not laid on any substrate, can be tested directly.
·Non-self-supporting coating: Refers to the need to use some permeable materials to lay underneath for testing.
